Help build a safe shelter home for 150 homeless mataji in vrindavan

Our mission is to provide shelter, compassionate care, and spiritual support to the abandoned elderly and single women in Vrindavan during the final years of their lives. Many elderly women and widows in Vrindavan—whom we lovingly call ‘Matas’—live alone, frail, and bedridden, without any social or family support. While several institutions exist, the need is far greater.
Project
The Shyama Shree Old Age Home by Radhe Karunamayi Public Charitable Trust is being built with the highest compassion and care to serve the abandoned elderly in Vrindavan. Every aspect of the project is designed to bring comfort, dignity, and spiritual fulfillment to those who have been left without support.

25 Large Residential Rooms: Spacious, well-ventilated rooms designed to accommodate up to 160 elderly residents. Each room provides a peaceful, safe, and comfortable living space where the Matas can rest and live with dignity.
Medical Care Unit: A dedicated medical wing with beds for chronically ill and terminally ailing residents. Professional healthcare providers and trained caregivers will offer bedside care, palliative support, regular checkups, and emergency medical aid.
Nutritious Kitchen & Dining Area: A full-scale hygienic kitchen will prepare daily vegetarian meals including milk, fruits, and special dietary meals as needed. Clean dining areas will ensure the residents enjoy their meals in a respectful and serene environment.
Spiritual & Cultural Engagement Hall: A multi-purpose hall where residents can participate in yoga, meditation sessions, kirtans, satsangs, and religious discourses. This space is devoted to nurturing mental peace and spiritual strength.
Clean Washrooms and Bathing Facilities: Each floor is equipped with ample western and Indian-style toilets and accessible bathrooms, keeping in mind the physical limitations of the elderly and ensuring hygiene and ease.
Wheelchair-Friendly Access: Ramps, wide passages, and an elevator system have been included in the design to make all areas of the building easily accessible for residents with physical disabilities or limited mobility.
24x7 Support Staff and Security: Trained caretakers and round-the-clock support staff will be available to assist residents at all times. The premises will also be under full-time security surveillance to ensure complete safety.
Library and Reading Corners: Quiet zones with devotional literature, scriptures, and general reading material for those who wish to spend their time in peaceful reading and reflection.
Gardens and Open Sitting Area: Landscaped garden zones with shaded sitting areas will provide a calm environment for residents to relax, chant, and enjoy nature in the company of other residents.
This project is not just a shelter—it is a sanctuary. A place where abandoned souls are embraced with love, served with compassion, and guided towards a spiritually fulfilling end of life.
